Mara has had comics published in Side A: The Music Lovers Anthology; Small Town, Big City; and Undercurrents: The York University Environmental Journal. In 2009 she created and co-curated The Rated R Show, a group exhibition of sex, violence and foul language by 16 artists. Her paste-up graffiti work can be found about The Annex and Queen West.

Mara is an art school drop-out working at the largest and most frantic Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto. By night she trades in her scrubs for bondage gear as a life model in The Keyhole Sessions art class. She shares a bachelor pad with her mutt River and her cat Tom Waits.
